Guess who won the 1995 Euro cup? Holland! Because of the efforts of one man his and his name is Edwin Van Der Sar. He is one of the best football players of the Dutch team. He saves almost every shot of the opponent’s team.
He is one of the most valuable players although he is 38 years old. That’s really old for a professional footballer. But he’s still so good in saving so his team does not want to give him up. He was born in voorhout Holland on Oct 29 1970.
He started playing football when he was 10. He played for Foreholte for two years where he was spotted by Ajax which is a Dutch team.
He played lots of games and won. Lots of clubs wanted him to play for them. He chose Manchester United Juventus, and Fulham.
He got married May 20, 2006. The couple has a boy cald Joe and a girl cald Lin. He loves his children and teaches them how to play football. One day I think they’ll become famous football players to. Joe was on the field celebrating his fathers save 5-4 against Sweden in the quarter finales.
In 2010 Edwin will return to the Dutch team for the world cup. Van Der Sar is also very tall he’s about 2.97 feet high (1.95) m.
I choose to write about him because he’s very famous in Holland and I’m shore Van Der Sar will make more amazing saves before he retires.
