Prince Willem-Alexander studied history at university. He mainly took subjects that will be useful to him when he is king, but he also learned to fly planes. Willem-Alexander is very keen on sports and often goes to important matches and sports events. He once participated in the Elfstedentocht skating marathon. When he reached the finishing line, his mother was there on the ice waiting for him. Willem-Alexander married Máxima Zorreguieta from Argentina on 2 February 2002. They now have three daughters, Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane.
